Samuel Breckenridge is a second-year PhD student at Cornell Tech, advised by Ari Juels. He graduated from Princeton University in 2021 with a BSE in Electrical Engineering and spent three years as a Trading Engineer at IMC Trading in Chicago before starting his PhD. His research uses cryptography and game theory to design systems with provable, interpretable security properties, with a focus on the tradeoffs between transparency and privacy across domains including blockchain, online communication, and machine learning.
