Omar Karim is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur with over two decades of leadership experience spanning technology, digital marketing, real estate and sports ventures. Known for driving strategic growth and building organizations from inception to successful exit, Omar has a proven record of leading high-performing teams, executing complex business development initiatives, and creating lasting brand value across industries. In 2002, Omar founded MAB Ventures LLC, a full-service performance marketing agency specializing in brand strategy, creative execution, end-to-end digital tech, and engagement. Under his leadership, MAB evolved into a recognized partner for globally recognized brands including T-Mobile, UFC Gyms, Philip Morris, Reliance Inc, Maglite. MAB’s success was driven by Omar’s commitment to data-driven strategy and process efficiency, as well as his ability to align creative vision with measurable business outcomes. Earlier in his career, Omar followed in the family business managing over 40 sales people and eventually running the finance desk for the highest grossing Dodge Dealership in the country. After graduating with a Global Business Degree from USC, Omar set out to make his own path and co-founded the Imperial Trade Corporation, which rapidly became one of Southern California’s leading buyers and resellers of recyclable commodities. As market conditions shifted, Omar guided the company through a successful pivot into property appraisal services, achieving significant revenue growth within a few years — an early indicator of his agility and foresight as a business leader. ITC was sold to a private party in 2009 to allow for full attention on opportunities ahead. In 2010, Omar joined fintech startup PayDivvy as Vice President of Business Development, where he led consumer and enterprise distribution strategy and helped secure $2 million in angel seed funding. He is credited with onboarding over 100,000 new banking customers, complete with social security capture and deposit, in less than 2 years, most of whom were in the difficult-to-penetrate college-age demographic. PayDivvy’s innovative social payment platform ultimately achieved a successful acquisition by HigherOne (NYSE: ONE) in 2013, further cementing Omar’s track record in startup growth and exit strategy. Omar is also a founding member of Fitlab LLC, an integrated health and wellness venture, and a member of the ownership group of Cesena FC, an Italian professional football club — reflecting his deep engagement with the sports and wellness industries from both business and brand perspectives. More recently, he founded the Matriarchs Girls Flag Football Club which reached 7th in the national power rankings in just their first 2 months competing. He has worked with athletes and celebrities throughout his career, including: 50 Cent, Fergie, Troy Polamalu, Conor McGregor, Floyd Mayweather, and others. Omar was the first Muslim student body president at Servite High School, a Catholic all-boy college preparatory school, where he earned high honors and football scholarship offers from several Ivy League schools, military academies, and other FBS universities. He chose to attend the University of Southern California (USC) where he earned one of three football walk-on roster spots. A lifelong practitioner of martial arts, Omar holds black belts in several disciplines. He fought out of the Hoover Street Professional Boxing Gym in South Central Los Angeles, competed for the Brazilian Top Team Total MMA competition team, and trained professional fighters into his early 30’s. He resides in Southern California with his wife and two daughters - and can be found grilling over wood or in his tandoor oven most weekends.
