Nathan Catania is a co-founding Partner at XReg Consulting, a boutique cryptoasset policy and regulatory affairs consultancy, and one of the foremost practitioners in crypto regulation globally. A former regulator at the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission, one of the world's first dedicated crypto regulatory units, Nathan has advised governments, regulators, law enforcement agencies, financial intelligence units, and some of the world's largest crypto businesses and DeFi projects on regulatory strategy. Nathan is also a licensed fund director in Gibraltar and regularly contributes to the development of regulatory frameworks for DeFi and tokenisation, including work on real-world asset tokenisation and engagement with regulators and policymakers on workable approaches to decentralised finance.
