Michelle Makori is an internationally acclaimed broadcast journalist, news anchor, reporter, producer and managing editor. She is currently President & Editor-in-Chief of Miles Franklin Media and the host of ‘The Real Story with Michelle Makori’. With a dynamic career that includes key anchor roles at Bloomberg, CNN Money, i24News, CGTN, Kitco News and SABC, Michelle is renowned not only for her insightful anchoring and reporting but also as a newsroom leader with a track record of building teams that deliver compelling content. Michelle has covered some of the most significant economic, financial, and geopolitical events of the past two decades.She has interviewed an array of influential figures, including heads of state, Fortune 500 CEOs, thought leaders and top analysts from a variety of industries. Michelle also brings Wall Street experience to her financial news coverage, having received her FINRA financial adviser license (Series 7) and working with The Beryl Consulting Group and GFI. Michelle holds a Post Graduate Honors Degree in Media Studies and Journalism (cum laude), and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Law and Psychology, both from South Africa’s University of the Witwatersrand and graduated top of her class from Damelin Business School.
