Native Markets
Mary-Catherine (MC) Lader is the Founder and CEO of Native Markets, an American stablecoin company working to shift the financial system to faster, cheaper, and more accessible infrastructure. MC is widely recognized for correctly anticipating where financial technology is moving years in advance.
Prior to starting Native Markets, MC was President and COO of Uniswap Labs, the world’s largest decentralized exchange (DEX), where she grew the company from 15 to 150 employees, raised $165 million, and scaled the company to profitability. Under her leadership, Uniswap products became the most-used application in on-chain finance [linkedin.com], processing more than $73 billion in monthly trading volume [linkedin.com] and proving that open, programmable financial infrastructure could operate at institutional scale.
She began her career in Goldman Sachs’ Special Situations Group where she launched Vivint Solar, a residential solar business later acquired by Blackstone for $2 billion before going public. She then continued to lead at the cutting edge of financial products at BlackRock, where she became one of the youngest managing directors.
While at BlackRock, MC built and led several of the firm's consequential growth businesses, including its digital wealth management platform as its COO, which she scaled from zero to its fastest growing revenue line at the time across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and its climate risk and sustainable investing platform, as its global head. She also started and led BlackRock's blockchain initiative when most of Wall Street dismissed blockchain as a fringe experiment [bloomberg.com], laying the groundwork for BlackRock's global digital asset strategy.
MC earned her JD and MBA from Harvard University and is a board member of tech:nyc, a non-profit focused on growing NYC’s tech ecosystem.
