Larry Florio

Larry is Deputy General Counsel at Ethena Labs, where his work spans institutional strategy, regulatory policy, and product structuring across the company's business verticals. His career bridges institutional finance and crypto-native markets, from regulatory strategy and fund structuring at Blackstone, where he helped establish the firm's insurance solutions business, to advising on M&A, SPAC transactions, and fund formation across venture, growth equity, and hedge fund strategies at The Raine Group. As General Counsel at 1kx, he built the legal and policy framework for one of crypto's earliest institutional-grade venture platforms. Larry is a frequent speaker on a broad range of crypto and capital markets topics, and was selected to participate in the SEC Crypto Task Force's roundtable on digital asset custody, one of a small number of practitioners recognized by the Commission as subject-matter authorities at the intersection of traditional financial markets and decentralized systems. Larry has been active in advocacy for decentralization since 2021, when he became an early contributing member of LeXpunK. In his free time, he is also building AI agent platforms and applications for financial infrastructure, work positioned at the convergence of programmable workflows, agent-mediated transactions, and decentralized financial infrastructure.
