Jean-Marie Mognetti

CEO & Co-Founder

CoinShares

Jean-Marie Mognetti is the CEO and Co-Founder of CoinShares, Europe's leading digital asset manager and investment firm, with exchange-traded products (ETPs) across Europe and ETF offerings in the United States. A pivotal figure in the crypto industry since 2014, Jean-Marie has helped mature the digital asset industry by building CoinShares into a publicly listed, regulated investment platform managing billions in assets for institutional and professional investors globally. Under his leadership, CoinShares was one of the first major crypto-native firms to list on a public exchange (Nasdaq Stockholm), setting new standards for transparency, governance, and institutional-grade infrastructure in the sector. The company has played a pioneering role in developing regulated crypto investment vehicles to bridge traditional finance and blockchain-based markets. It was publicly listed on the Nasdaq on April 1 under the ticker $CSHR. Holding a Master's degree in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Sir John Cass Business School, Jean-Marie began his career as a commodity trader specializing in quantitative analysis, derivatives, and risk management. Before starting CoinShares, he honed his expertise at Hermes Commodities Fund Managers, where he managed trading programs focused on macroeconomic commodities, including early exposure to cryptocurrencies as an emerging asset class. His background in macro trading and structured products continues to inform CoinShares' disciplined, capital-markets-driven approach to digital asset investing. A frequent commentator on digital asset flows, macro trends, and global regulatory developments, Jean-Marie brings a capital markets lens to discussions around Bitcoin's role in portfolios, crypto market structure, and the convergence of traditional and on-chain financial systems at a time of accelerating institutional adoption.
