Brian Klein is a partner at Cooley LLP and a former federal prosecutor with one of the U.S.’s leading cryptocurrency litigation practices. He has been representing crypto founders, entrepreneurs and companies since 2013 and has handled many of the most high-profile civil litigation matters and DOJ, SEC and CFTC investigations and cases. This includes: defending Roman Storm (a software developer) against criminal charges brought in the Southern District of New York related to his involvement with the Tornado Cash protocol; securing the dismissal of criminal charges against Avraham Eisenberg (Mango Markets) following a trial in the Southern District of New York; and representing Multicoin (one of the most prominent crypto investment firms) in a class action related to Solana. Additionally, he teaches a federal criminal practice seminar at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and has guest lectured on legal issues at Yale Law School (white-collar criminal defense) and the University of Michigan (cybersecurity), among others.
