Ashok leads Blockchain Association’s Legal and Government Relations teams, overseeing advocacy strategy, engagement with Congress, and alignment of the Association’s legal work with its mission to advance pro-innovation public policy. Previously, at the U.S. Department of Commerce, he performed the non-exclusive functions and duties of Assistant Secretary for Global Markets and Director General of the United States and Foreign Commercial Service. He also served as Executive Director of SelectUSA. Ashok has served in all three branches of government and began his career in private practice as an IP litigator. He received his BA from Stanford University and his JD from the University of Illinois College of Law.
