Josh Swihart

Josh Swihart is the Founder and CEO of Zcash Open Development Lab (ZODL), the team behind the creation and launch of Zcash and builders of the Zodl wallet, the leading self-custodial gateway for private digital money. ZODL raised over $25 million in seed funding from Paradigm, a16z crypto, Winklevoss Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Cypherpunk Technologies, Maelstrom, and other leading investors. Since its 2024 launch, the Zodl wallet has grown the Zcash shielded pool by over 400% and facilitated more than $600 million in ZEC swaps. Previously, Josh served as CEO and SVP at the Electric Coin Company, was CEO of Aspenware (acquired by Alterra and Aspen), SVP of Global Marketing at K2, and co-founder and VP of Software Development at 3t Systems.
