Web3athon 2023 is focused on bringing more developers in the blockchain space through partner grant programs awarding cash prizes to winning teams. This Web3athon is laser-focused on developers and builders who are open to exploring new programming languages and seeking out the right protocol to build on and will showcase the grant and DevRel initiatives of our partner protocols and foundations. Consensus and CoinDesk are working with top-tier partners to ensure we have 5,000+ developers eager to learn and start building in Web3. The Web3athon will have 3 distinct aspects: Learn, Hack and Showcase.

• Learn: New to Web3? Enroll in one of Alchemy University’s learning programs to develop or sharpen your Web3 development skills ahead of the Consensus Web3athon.
• Hack: A six week-long virtual Web3athon that is open to anyone. Participants who complete an Alchemy University course will receive discounted tickets to Consensus 2023. Like 2022’s Web3athon, we are partnering with top protocols and their respective ecosystem grant programs to award grants to Web3athon teams based on quality.
• Showcase: The protocol partners and grant foundations will each choose the top teams to come to Austin for Consensus 2023. They will meet with the respective grant foundation teams to finalize their pitch about their project to present on stage at Consensus.
